Looking for the girl from Bangor Maine
little help.
It was 1974. I was 24. I had been living in Bangor Maine doing construction work and had made some friends that went to the local church and hung out at the homeless men's shelter. After I left Bangor to go anywhere but Bangor, I ended up in a town on the coast of Maine in the Kennebunkport area. Wells Beach Maine. Not much of a beach. Little tourist town. I got a job there building some rich person's house on the beach. I was pretty much an unskilled worker and there didn't really seem to be that much for me to do. One weekend I goes back to Bangor to retrieve something I left there. And I left a lot...not materially of course because I didn't have anything except my clothes and a guitar. Nuts really. But during my visit back to Bangor as I was leaving one of my friends told me that a tall girl with long blond hair from California had come through town asking people about me. That's all I know. The rest is something that has remained a mystery all these years. Who was she? Why did she come to Bangor Maine looking for me. Was it someone I knew or a friend of a friend? Anybody know the answers to any of these questions, or just know anyone in Bangor Maine or anything about Bangor, feel free to help out. It would be interesting to find if the age of the internet really does have any useful purpose as far as finding people. I remember so many people from Bangor but can only recall a couple of names. Maurice and Lew. Ha, ha. Not much to go on I know....
