So I alluded to this question or theory after church…briefly …talking to Fr. Jim. A lot of people say God spoke to them through scripture. This kind of revolves around my unusual name. I did a lot of seeking in my day i certainly did. Once I hitchhiked to Alaska just the clothes on my back and a paper sack a Bible and a book called the Wisdom of Zen, I think. About the Buddhist approach. IE: A seeker comes to the Master and asks him “what is the key —the secret of life?” The Master’s answer was to slap him in the face. I seem to be an unlikely prospect. Anyway so I’m interested in The Lord’s Prayer as The Key. I feel there’s more to it…from Experience … than any other prayer. And that’s ok. No biggie. But I can back it up. But I don’t want or find it necessary to get into all that back and forth “he said she said”. I’m 74 and not really into debating. There’s not that much interest in this anyway. There wasn’t before there isn’t now and the future who knows? But it has been good for me —extremely. And I’m kind of an average Joe. So what was it in the Book of Numbers that caught my eye back when I was deciding to devote my life to —-not the scriptures, not the church, but to this very ordinary prayer according… to who you talk to. If anyone will. So anyway. Back then I would get my cues from the Lord in a couple of different ways. Remember when Melania Trump said the Lord’s Prayer? The Lord spoke to my heart or however he does it —it seemed like he was saying before all that with Melania happened that he was going to bring a message to the world and the world would see and know his goodness his love, Mercy truth —who he is. I still think about that. Because Melania said the Lord‘s Prayer on the world stage. So he did it. He sent this message out all over the world. I’ve saved the best for last. At least for me. It has something to do with Numbers 7 and my name. We’ll get to it later hopefully. Numbers 7:77. Through this scripture God showed me The Lord’s Prayer is indeed a very special and important prayer even today. . . Unequivocally.
