talent is the easy part, being human is the hard part... my goal these days seems to be directed at becoming an established, accepted artist, of some stature, for profit, profit being the difficulty. How do I use my gifts in the world of commerce. My idealistic and purist notions of how the two should co-mingle. art and commerce, though I see it happen all around me, somehow strikes me as crass and beneath my better self. On the other hand, how can I realistically pursue my objectives of producing art without financial help with things like food and shelter, a car, and material things that I rely on and desire.
